N.J. Wedding Officiant and Celebrant Mary Dougal

Your wedding is the most important day of your life. As your New Jersey wedding officiant and celebrant, I will lovingly write and perform a ceremony that speaks to your heart, a ceremony tailored for you and you alone. Your family and guests will witness the warmth and tenderness of a wedding that perfectly expresses your style and feelings.
What makes your wedding ceremonies different?
Working together to design the ceremony, I will tell your guests how you met, what attracted you to each other, how you fell in love, how you proposed and your dreams for your life together--your unique love story. Your guests will take home memories of a wedding that sounded just like the two of you.

Where are ceremonies held?
As a wedding minister, I officiate at weddings and civil unions at all kinds of venues throughout northern New Jersey. You can choose to have your wedding ceremony indoors or outdoors: at a reception hall, in a park, at home, a historic site or at a favorite restaurant—the choice is totally up to you.
Do you have to be a member of a church?
Absolutely not. You do not have to be a church-goer or hold religious beliefs. Of course, other couples may wish to incorporate a religious or spiritual element into the ceremony.
Do you do interfaith ceremonies?
If you and your fiancé come from different religious backgrounds, we can write an interfaith wedding ceremony that blends cultural and religious traditions to honor the beliefs you share as well as your different faiths.
Do you perform civil unions?
I am delighted to design and officiate at civil union ceremonies in northern New Jersey.
How long would my ceremony be?
Your wedding ceremony can be as short or long as you wish. Depending on your choice of ceremony elements, most weddings last from 15 to 30 minutes.
Where have you performed ceremonies?
I am available for ceremonies throughout northern New Jersey. Communities where I have performed weddings include Andover, Montclair, West Orange, Bloomfield, Verona, Morris Plains, Rockaway, Basking Ridge, Newark, Clifton, Edgewater, Hoboken, West Paterson, Kinnelon, Florham Park, Hackensack, Ridgewood and Jersey City.
